Methodology

Our Methodology

Learning That Goes Beyond the Textbook

At ATS Valley School, we recognise that every child learns differently. Our teaching methodology therefore seeks to make learning engaging, purposeful, experiential and relevant.

Teachers facilitate learning through a combination of classroom instruction, discussions, demonstrations, activities, projects, experimentation, technology-enabled learning and collaborative experiences.

Learning is not simply received. It is explored, experienced, discussed and understood.

01 / Our Approach

Many Ways to Learn.
One Purpose.

Students learn best when they can connect ideas with experience. Our methodology brings together different approaches that encourage curiosity, participation, collaboration, application and independent thinking.

01

Experiential Learning

Students learn best when they can see, experience and apply concepts. Wherever appropriate, classroom learning is complemented by hands-on activities, experiments, projects, field experiences and real-world applications.

02

Inquiry-Based Learning

Curiosity is at the heart of meaningful education. Students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate possibilities, gather information and arrive at conclusions rather than simply receiving answers.

03

Collaborative Learning

Group activities, discussions and collaborative projects enable learners to exchange ideas, develop communication and empathy, and appreciate different perspectives.

04

Technology-Enabled Learning

Digital resources, multimedia and appropriate educational tools help make concepts more accessible and interactive while supporting diverse ways of engaging with content.

05

Personalised Attention

Teachers observe individual learning needs and provide appropriate guidance, encouragement and reinforcement while also challenging students to move beyond their comfort zones.

06

Continuous Assessment

Regular assessments, classroom observations, projects, assignments and other forms of evaluation help teachers understand progress and identify areas requiring support or enrichment.

Assessment & Understanding

Assessment That Supports Learning

Assessment at ATS Valley School is viewed as an integral part of learning. Our aim is not merely to assess what students have learned, but to understand how they learn and how we can help them learn better.

01

Observe

Teachers observe how students engage, participate and approach learning.

02

Understand

Classroom work, projects and assessments help identify strengths and areas for development.

03

Respond

Appropriate guidance, reinforcement, support or enrichment is provided according to learning needs.

04

Grow

Students are encouraged to reflect on their learning and gradually take greater ownership of their progress.

Student Support & Well-being

Every Learner Matters

Academic achievement is most meaningful when children feel safe, supported, confident and valued. We seek to create an environment where students can express themselves, seek guidance, overcome challenges and develop a positive approach towards learning.

03 / The Future

Preparing Students for Tomorrow

Learn with purpose.
Think with curiosity.
Grow with confidence.

The world our students will enter is changing rapidly. Academic knowledge remains essential, but future success will also depend on the ability to adapt, communicate, collaborate, think critically and continue learning.

At ATS Valley School, we therefore strive to develop learners who are academically capable, intellectually curious and emotionally confident.

Our academic journey is designed to help every student discover their potential and develop the knowledge, skills and character to make a meaningful contribution to the world.

Learn with purpose.
Think with curiosity.
Grow with confidence.

Learning should open possibilities, build confidence and prepare every child for what comes next.
