Learning Through Exploration, Inquiry & Creativity
At ATS Valley School, we believe children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. The Junior School therefore combines classroom instruction with opportunities to observe, experiment, discuss, create and apply.
Experiential Learning
Activities and experiences help students understand how and why, rather than simply memorising what.
Inquiry, Projects & Collaboration
Questioning, research, projects and peer learning build curiosity, reasoning, communication and teamwork.
Hands-On Experiences
Experiments, models, demonstrations and practical tasks connect concepts with everyday life.
Learning Through Expression

From Classroom Ideas to Real Experiences
Junior School students are given opportunities to see learning beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Educational visits, nature-based experiences, activities, celebrations, projects and co-curricular engagements help children make meaningful connections between what they learn and the world they experience.
These experiences encourage students to observe their surroundings, appreciate nature and culture, understand their community and develop a growing sense of responsibility towards the world around them.

Curious Today Independent Tomorrow
The Junior School years are not simply a transition between Foundation Years and Middle School. They are a formative period in which children develop the habits, attitudes and competencies that shape them as lifelong learners.
